실상사

내변산의 직소폭포로 가는 길의 천왕봉과 인장봉 사이에 자리잡은 실상사는 신라 신문왕 9년(689) 초의스님이 처음 짓고 조선시대 때 효령대군이 고쳐 지은 것이다.

 실상사는 내변산에 있는 4대 사찰 중 하나로 고려시대에 제작한 불상과 대장경 등 소중한 유물들을 간직한 유서깊은 절이다.  대웅전과 나한전, 산신각 등이 있었으나 1950년의 화재로 모두 불타고 터만 남아 있었다가 최근에 복원이 이루어지고 있다. 절터에는 3개의 부도가 남아 있으며 그 중 2기는 종 모양의 부도로 상태가 비교적 좋은 편이다.

Silsan Temple

Silsang Temple located between CheonWangbong(peak) and Injangbong(peak) on the way to Jikso pokpo(falls) in Naebyeonsan(Mt.) was built by the monk Choul in 689 and was repaired by the prince of Horyeong during the Joseon dynasty.

One of the four largest temples in Naebyeonsan(Mt.), It has valuable relics such as Buddha statue and the Tripitaka made the during the Goryeo period There were Daeungjeon, Arahatjeon, Sansingak, etc., but they were burned down in 1950, and only the site remains.

The three stupas remain, two of which are bell-shaped and in relatively good condition.

 

 

 

 

 

직소폭포(Jikso Falls)

부안지역 내변산의 대표적인 관광명소인 직소폭포는 높이 약 30m 정도로 폭포를 받히고 있는 둥근 못으로 곧바로 물줄기가 떨어진다고 하여 직소란 이름이 붙여지게 되었다. 직소폭포 주변의 대부분을 차지하는 응화암에서 관찰할 수 있는 용결조직과 주상절리를 관찰할 수 있으며, 유수의 침식작용에 의한 폭포의 형성 원리를 이해할 수 있다.

Jikso Fall, one of the most-visited tourist attractions in Naebyunsan(Inner Byunsan), Buan, is about 30 meters tall, It was named Jikso for the reason that streams drop straight into the circular pond at the bottom, Since the surrounding arearof Jikso Fall is covered with tuff, welded texture and columnar joint well revealed in tuff can be observed here.The formation principle of the waterfall formed as a result of erosion process of water currents can well be understood here as well.

폭포는 어떻게 형성되었을까?

일반적으로 폭포가 형성될 수 있는 지질학적 용인은 암석층의 강도가 강하고 하부층의 강도가 비교적 약할 경우 유수에 의한 침식 속도의 차이에 의해 절벽면이 형성되고, 이 절벽면을 따라 강물이 흘러내리면서 폭포를 이루게 된다.

How was fall formed?

Gelological process of waterfall formation is typically as follow : In order for a waterfall to form. the strength of the upper rockstratum has to be high and that of the lower rock stratum low. Under this condition, a waterfall is formed when a cliff side forms and water streams run down along the cliff surface because of the differences of erosion velocity caused by running water.

직소폭포에 발달한 주상절리

직소폭포에 발달한 주상절리는 화산분출에 의해 지표에 쌓인 뜨거운 화성쇄설물이 빠르게 냉각되어 수축하는 과정에서 부피가 감소하여 다각형 기둥 모양의 주상절리를 형성하게 된다. 또한 직소폭포 주변은 절리면을 따라 쉽게 풍화, 침식되어 떨어진 주상절리 전석을 볼 수 있다.

Multi-angled columnar joints developed in Jikso Fall are formed as a result of volume reduction when tuff-forming. boiling-hot pyroclastic material cools down and cotracts over time after piling up. In the surrounding area of Jikso Fall. boulders of columnar joints naturally cut off as a result of weathering and erosion along the joint plane are observed.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

풀치

풀치는 갈치의 새끼이다.

갈치를 잡아서 내장으로 갈치속젓갈을 만들고 고기는 조림이나 구이용으로 사용한다.

갈치가 안잡히면 갈치새끼를 잡는다고 한다. 갈치새끼를 잡아서 끈에 묶어서 널어놓은면 바람에 흔들리는 모습이 풀이 흔날리는것 같이 보인다고 해서 풀치라고 한단다.
